Q5: When are you thinking of getting listed on bigger exchanges such as Binance or Bittrex?
A5: Just this week we saw a perfect example of why we are not going on large exchanges at this time. We are still running on the clone chain and this chain is a mess. There are many flaws and we have patched over many things in order to make it work the way we want for the time being.
However, what is going to happen if there is an even bigger emergency due to some sort of technical failure on that chain or any other tech failure during this development period and we are on the big exchanges with a multi-billion dollar market cap? This is why we are not willing to go on any big exchanges right now. We must be patient and realize anyone who has been lucky enough to discover XBY at this early stage is in a position to achieve great success as we roll out our full tech as time goes by.
Thus, the XTRABYTES development team is holding off on applying to the larger and well-established exchanges until after the mainnet has become operational. However, they have applied to a few select up-and-coming exchanges due to community sentiment. While many members had hoped Binance was one of these, the development team decided not to compete for the Binance community vote taken earlier this month.
Since XTRABYTES is a community project, the platform is likely to join those exchanges where participation and/or voting by the community is required. And as anyone can assist in these efforts, we’re asking the reader to be on the lookout for any promising exchange possibilities:

In addition, the development team has also applied to the KuCoin exchange:

More importantly, the XTRABYTES project has a dedicated marketing team which anyone can join. Beginning in December, the team went all out with a marketing blitz designed to attract more testnet participants. They also began marketing the XBY platform to business entities behind the scenes. They have joined forces with different marketing companies, such as Victorious, for their campaigns.
However, the marketing team’s real efforts will begin once the mainnet is deployed and Zoltanchain is live. In short, once the final working product is released. They’re convinced that the most effective form of marketing allows the technology to speak for itself. And because XTRABYTES was conceived with business applications in mind, its marketing campaigns will be fully focused on persuading businesses and existing crypto projects to adopt its platform. Preparations to achieve these goals are already well underway.
The XTRABYTES marketing team also works hand-in-hand with both the graphics design team and the writers’ team. The graphics design team is involved in producing content that the marketing team shares on social media almost daily. In addition, the writing team tirelessly produces articles, newsletter shorts, and blog posts about everything XBY, continually creating new content for the official news site of the XTRABYTES’ community. Last but not least, the writing team is now attempting to provide XBY-related content to journalists as part o its PR effort (via the well-known Help A Reporter Out (HARO) website).
With cutting-edge technology set to launch, the XTRABYTES team expects to make a global impact on the cryptocurrency field. Consequently, a translating team comprised entirely of volunteers is working hard to make all content accessible. They have already translated the XTRABYTES’ website and several crucial blog posts into more than 26 different languages. Moreover, they’re involved with a multitude of dedicated language Facebook groups, where members spread awareness about XBY locally. It’s a team that anyone can join.
As should be evident, XBY’s community has always been it’s greatest marketing tool. Everyone involved in the project started off as a member of the community (from the devs to the Discord mods and tech support personnel). The community initiates creative marketing ideas and hosts livestreams showcasing the latest testnet. Community members also write guides, create wallpapers, and provide impressive videos. All these efforts help spread the word about their investment. Indeed, its the option to become actively involved with the project that sets XTRABYTES apart from the rest. As has the author, who started as an outsider not long ago in just the same way, by reading a blog post.
While not much activity is apparent in the way of marketing, several initiatives are gathering momentum underneath the surface. And with new members joining every day, the marketing team is increasingly well-equipped to create new content, answer investor questions, and promote the platform’s technology. Stay tuned. As details about the platform’s eventual launch begin to emerge, the marketing blitz is planned to really take off.
